For the last few years, many people have been talking about the new subculture fashion trends. The first thing that comes to mind when discussing subculture fashion trends is hip-hop and rap. These are two of the most popular styles from the last decade. Hip hop and rap culture are deeply rooted in the culture of their respective countries and therefore are always looking to update themselves and their style through new trends that come out. However, these fashion styles take their influences from all over the world, and even other cultures in other parts of the world.

For instance, in the decade of the ’00s, fashion trends were often times defined by cultural references. For example, urban clothing was often times modeled after clothes from other countries. In the United States, the styles of urban clothing mostly sticking with non-American subcultures and references tended to be black clothing, which tended to be more fitted and tapered than other subcultures such as Latin or Asian.

As of late, subculture fashion trends have been taking cues from both western and eastern fashion. Western fashion trends have often times focused on creating the ‘American look’, which consists of short and sleek clothing that emphasizes the face and neck. Eastern fashion has also focused on creating the ‘Chinese look’, which consists of clothing that is worn more as a work outfit and less than a casual one. No matter what type of subculture one looks into for their fashion taste, it’s always good to look at different styles and see what fits your own sense of fashion the best.
